#RPGaDAY2015 – Day 25: Favourite Revolutionary Game Mechanic

Duty & Honour‘s card system. It allows everyone to assist in tasks, if they wish and adds an element of tension that just rolling dice doesn’t bring – unless it happens to be that d20 that spins and spins ;) It doesn’t hurt that the rest of the system is very sound and who doesn’t want to romp around Spain and Portugal kicking Napoleon’s butt? ;) I picked it up (and it’s sister game, Beat to Quarters) when they were first released, but you lucky people can get the PDFs on “Pay What You Want” now. What are you waiting for? Sharpe and Hornblower will take all the glory if you dally too long ;)
